If nothing else, I consider myself a decent player in the $3 rebuy on stars. It's the big field tournament I've been final tabling the most and I keep running deep.
Busted 28th in it on Friday and 61st or something on sat
The reason I seem to do well in that tournament is the number or rebuy maniacs who just give away their chips in the 2nd and 3rd hour.
Apart from that I finnished 9th in a $24+$2 on FTP. I was top 3 during the last hour but made a marginal resteal and got called for half my stack and took a couple of beats right after.
My cash games have been a mixed experiance. I've been playing my usual 100nl and have been doing quite well on stars, but tried on some other sites and lost a few buyins. I think most of it is because of bad luck, but not sure. It's tough to find tables on some smaller sites so you have to pick what you can find or not play at all.
I guess not playing at all is the best option there.
I'm still planning to do a few bankroll building tests. And I might be doing them on smaller sites since I'm uslually playing micro when I first start on a site anyway.
I'll do a cash test, an SNG test n MTT test. The MTTs will probebly be done playing the stars $4.40 180s. SNGs has to be done on a site where I can multi table well, so it'll probebly be stars or FTP.
Cash games can be done anywhere.
I'll be doing them on a casual basis mixing in some games here and there.
In fact I've allready started an SNG run on FTP and I'm not running well at all. so we'll see.
The cash games has to be playd on a site where I can easily track results using pokeroffice.

Sorry about the lack of updates lately.
I've been playing quite a few tournaments lately. I've been breaking even on Full tilt lately but had a bad streak on stars. Playd 25-30 tournaments without a single cash and ended it yesterday by finnishing 3rd in the $11 20k GTG tournament. I'm not quite happy with my play in that tournament but the result is welcome anyway. I always tend to play a bit weak after downswings like these. I know it's bad but it's the way I work. At least better then going on crazy tilt sessions :)
Cash games, on the other hand, have been going ok. I've been playing mostly NL100 on stars and have been able to show a decent profit.
I've been thinking about trying Turbo SNGs on FTP a bit more but haven't started yet. It might be a good thing to do for the bankroll articles I'm planning to write here, so I might do it just to have an example of my bankroll philosophy. I'll be starting at the $11+1 turbos and see how far I can get. I probebly won't play more then 4-5 tables at once. That should be something many people can do without ot much trouble. To track results I'll be using the 2+2 sng spreadsheet.
That's it for now. Now sure how much poker I'll be able to play this week, but hopefully I'll be able to at least start my SNG tracking and maybe play some more cash on stars.

I've been playing quite a few tournaments during the last few days. No big scores but managed to get close to the final table in few, while only making one final table, I defenitely think I'm playing ok right now and I hope I can get a few more shots at FTs shortly :)
I've been playing some more on FTP recently while I keep playing the same tournaments on stars. The nice thing about the FTP tournaments is that they are usually smaller , so you don't have to play for six to 7 hours to get to a final table (or bust in 11th or something.
I still haven't got time to write up my BR management tips that I planned to, but hope to be able to soon enough.

I came home christmas eve and decided to play the $3 rebuy on stars and some other tournaments. Ended up winning a warm-up sat, winning a $5 tournament on full tilt and finnishing 2nd in the $3 rebuy. Great night but I was really unhappy I didn't win the $3 rebuy. I came into HU with a 2.5:1 chiplead, won most small pots and finally managed to trap the guy for all his chips. He managed to survive, I rebuilt my stack and got it in again with a full house that was cracked on the river. After that it was pretty much over. We never even discoussed a deal since I felt I had a great edge in the HU together with my big chip load.
Still happy with the 2nd though, and I think I can get there again.
Going to play a whole bunch of tournaments to night. Hope to report some more winnings tomorrow :)
I might post a link to the $3 rebuy if anyone wants to see the HH.

Dispite birthday and christmas stuff I had time to play a few tournaments this weekend.
Didn't start out very well but managed to get to the final table in the $15 360 max on stars on saturday. I felt I playd the tournament really well up until the final table. Managed to get the chiplead without having to show a lot of hands. A few boubles lasted for quite some time and I had a decent position at my table, I guess that helped a bit.
I arrived at the final table with about 150k in chips and I think the 2nd guy had like 110k. Early on at the FT I made a few very read based moved, that I still think ware correct considering what I'd seen previously and what I saw after. I think I just timed them bad or was unlucky. I managed to loose allmost half my stack without showdowns and finally went out 6th cashing for about $240, Not a big profit but at least in the right direction.
Don't have time to write more right now but might be more coming to night. Hope everyone has a nice christmas.

Playd some .5$/$1 NL cash and made most of my losses from the last 2 days back :)
Hopefully I can keep it up
I thought today about posting something about my bankroll philosophy but now it's to late so I'll probebly do it tomorrow.
I consider bankroll management one of the most important skills in poker. I consider myself a winning player and part of the reason I've managed to make some money is that I've rarely been playing above my bankroll. I've taken a few shots at big sunday tournaments but that's all.
My game philosophy over all is try to beat a level before I move to the next level, or at least feel comfortable with the level.
Let's say for example I would play PL omaha, something I've done very little. I would start out really really low. Maybe not at the absolute lowest level but at least at a level where I can get used to the game.
I'm not sure I mentioned that in my first post but about 8 months ago I started messing around with single table turbo SNGs (I'd only been playing regulars earlier). I started at the $6 SNGs and even playd some $3 SNGs. After 150 games or so I felt comfortable to move to the $16 turbos. I've managed ot get a decent ROI in the $16 turbos but haven't done that well in the $27s.
The reason I play SNGs, and recently some cash is that I want something to keep variance down a bit while playing large field MTTs. Sometimes the stretches can be quite long, and in the meantime it's good to have something to maintain some of the comfidence in your own game :)
Well, this ended up being, if not bankroll philosophy, at least game selection philosophy :)
If someone want a little insight in MTT variance, I found these 2 articles quite good. Both are form pocketfives.com.

Haven't had much time to play tournaments during the last 2 days, even though I took down a Stars sunday Million (or was it warm-up) sat and didn't play it, so I can still use the money for other tournaments.
I playd some more limit hold'em and am now down a little on my last 6k hands.I'm still not sure if it's variance or if I play bad. I feel like I'm running a bit bad atm but it might be something wrong with my pot control.
Also playd some NL $.50/$1 cash and really made some horrible plays so I lost a bit there too.
Hopefully I'll do a little better during next week, since I have the week off.
I still feel like I'm playing ok in tournaments but in cash I feel like a big fish recently.

I ended up playing very few tournaments friday, no cashes. My limit session ended up as a break even after a really bad start (lost about $80 on 2 hands on $2/$4). Think I playd ok in the limit games after all.
The big pots I lost was on set over set and something else I can't remember.
No poker on saturday but plan to get a few tournaments in today as well as some limit cash.
And I will try to get an avatar up shortly :)

Last weekend I felt like I was playing a bit fishy so I tried to change my limit game a bit. I guess I shouldn't have done that, cause I've lost all I'd won during my first 2500 hands or so. Maybe it's just variance, or maybe I was just lucky during my first sessions. It's tough to know.
Anyway I'm down $130 or so on stars on my first 5k hands. I'm going away tomorrow so not sure how much I'll play to night but I'll defenitely play a few tournays tonight. Probebly the $3 rebuy and daily fylti grand on stars and any low to medium buyin tournay I can find on FTP.
Allready in one tournay on FT and the $3 rebuy is starting, so I'm off to play :)
