So, this is my first shot at a blog. I've been thinking about starting
a poker related blog for a long time, but it just hasn't happened. The
reasons I want to start a blog are many, but to name a few. I just want
to vent my thoughts on the game in general, Maybe some bragging and bad
beat stories

Even though I'm not much of a bad beat story-telling
guy.
I guess I should start this by saying something about myself and my relationship to poker. So here goes.
I started playing poker online about 2 years ago, after playing some
live at a party. I started without expectations, I just wanted to try
it out.
After making the usual mistakes like playing to high for my bankroll, I
decided to try to improve my game by looking at some general
guidelines like starting requirements and such.
Even though I made a few early mistakes I've never been much of a
gambler, so I playd really low most of the time and quickly went from
cash game to SNG, I managed to build a small bankroll playing $2 and $5
SNGs on the prima poker network.
After getting back what I lost early on, I decided to move on to some
bigger sites and try some different games again. I playd some fixed
limit to release some bonuses on different sites and had decent
success.
Playd on party for a while but had a tough time beating the rake playing the $5+$1 single table and 5-table SNGs.
After playing for a while on party I decided to move to pokerstars
since I'd read they had good tournaments and SNGs.I made a $60 deposit
there and started playing the $5 regular 1-table SNGs.
I kept playing 1-3 table SNGs with the occasional MTT for most of 2006.
The SNGs went well, but I was about break even for MTTs during 2006.
My first major downswing came after I'd playd the $30 sngs for a while,
and I had to move down again. I aslo started to look into MTTs a bit
more since I couldn't seem to beat the $30 sngs anymore.
For a few months (late 2006 to early 2007) I playd only MTTs and multi
table SNGs. Mostly in the $5-$20 range. I showed a small profit again
and kept improving my game by reading books and forums.
In early 2007 I did fairly well in the smaller MTTs on stars. Mostly in
the 180 sngs. I decided to try to improve my game even further by
joining a training site and shortly after ,went into a big downswing
again. I was improving my game for sure, but I did overdo a lot of
things. I had a few deep finishes in big low-stakes MTTs but no top 3.
I probebly started playing a bit higher then I was ready for too,
playing the $10 rebuy and $30 freezeouts. Things had gone well as long
as I took move up to quickly so I decided to move down again and try to
rebuild my game.
I started showing some success again during the summer of 2007 and
right now I feel my game is ok, even though I've been running well, I
think I've playd quite well too.
I also went back playing some NL cash for a while with ok results on
the really low limits. So far I haven't been playing above .5/1 but I
feel I can do ok at these levels, even thoug hI don't have a big enough
sample size.
So that's it as far as my poker experiance goes
A week or so ago I started experementing with fixed limit cash again
just for fun. I've been profitable at $2/$4 but the sample size is
still very small. I want at least 10k hands before I decide wether I'm
doing ok or not
That's it for now I guess
